  1. The improvements could be due to removing poor quality meat, could be the increased intake of vegetables, could be a mixture.

  2. I've been fully vegan for almost 4 months (3 transitioning months before) and I went pesco-ovo-lact-arian more than a year ago and tbh my period pain hasn't changed–I think it might have worsened. I go through some months being easy and others being unbearable, my diet hasn't changed anything about it for me :/

  3. Check out Natural Calm magnesium supplement, also plant based diuretic teas like dandelion (make your own), lemongrass tea, etc or maybe Chamomile, Evening Primrose, Feverfew, Mint, St. John's Wort, Tarragon, Yarrow

  4. Thanks but this really made me laugh–I have 1 w/ my breakfast, 2 throughout my day and I eat 2-3 in the evening. I think I'm good on the banana front(: I eat a lot because they're cheap and easy haha and when I'm on my period I sometimes have days where all I eat is tons of bananas–but they don't make me feel better, they're just my favorite food.

  5. It's good to see Anthony actively searching for remedies to his breast pain. I can't imagine what it would be like for Anthony to carry that chest around all day every day without a bra.

  6. I can absolutely relate to this! I have been 100% plant-based for almost 5 months and not only has my cycle become regular like clockwork, but my period pains are so light that I don't even notice them anymore. I do get breast tenderness but nothing like the pain I was experiencing before. I am so happy and am plant-based for good!

  7. I'll definitely look it up, thanks! I've read that b12 supplements may be needed but I never thought it was necessary–when I get the money I'll look into some vegan multivitamins and hopefully that will help(:

  8. Before I began a low-fat, plant-based diet, I quite often regarded my breasts (whose state ranged between tender to painful on any day of the month) as burdens that I had to bear grudgingly. I also had fibroadenomas, which I just knew put me on track to develop cancer. Since changing my diet, I can't describe how delighted I am with them! They aren't as fatty, the fibroadenomas have seemed to disappear, and the pain is gone. Not to mention my monthly periods, which are the best of my life!

  9. I've been vegan for years and years (occasionally I eat ice cream but it always gives me stomach ache) but I still have intense breast pain for about 2 weeks before my period. I considering it may be caffeine, I'm cutting it down but I'm finding it hard to give up completely on chai, green tea and mate.x. I will get there!!!!

  10. Dr Gregor:  Could you please help me!!  I have just undergone my second surgery to remove uterine fibroids.  I have been eating a vegan diet for the past 3 years, and before that it was also close to a vegan diet.  I did not expect my fiboroids to come back.  Do you have any suppliments that you can suggest that can help me, any types of foods or herbs?
